April DLM news:
In April we celebrated a late Easter at DLM. We anticipated 45 families would take part in the days events from receiving food boxes and personal hygiene items and shopping for clothing. About a hundred children had fun doing crafts and participating in an Egg Hunt, searching for candy-filled eggs. We also gave treat/activity bags to 30 children from a local shelter.
We hosted 47 families, serving 131 Easter meals of ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, collard greens, corn bread plus a brownie for dessert.
