Pandemic Protocols End July 1, 2021
Jun 22, 2021
All pandemic protocols at Faith Lutheran Church will end on Thursday, July 1. Wearing masks in the building, or in worship, will no longer be requested other than by those who have not been vaccinated. Also, anyone who is more comfortable wearing a mask is certainly encouraged to do so. Other changes include:
- Socially distanced seating in the sanctuary, use of protective screens, socially distanced serving of Holy Communion and dismissal by rows will be discontinued;
- Passing of offering plates and congregational singing will resume;
- The “Sharing of the Peace” will resume, although worshippers are encouraged to continue not shaking hands to limit sharing of cold and flu germs;
- When the Kinship Café Team is prepared to do so, refreshments will be offered in the Welcome Center in-between the services. Hint: Stay tuned for a special “welcome back” Kinship Café coming soon!!
PLEASE NOTE: The Church Council decided to continue the protocols until the end of June to allow time for changes to be made and for information to be shared.
We rejoice that the time has come for these changes to occur and give thanks for the patience and sacrifices of the people of God at FLC during the past 15 months of pandemic life.
